Default Taylor BT1 bridge pins

I'm looking to get a "guitar warming" present for my wife's Baby Taylor (recent version with walnut B&S).

Have you tried the standard ebony Taylor pins in this model? Thanks!

I'm sure it's not a good sign to talk to yourself, but since I now know the answer to my question, I'll post it here for posterity (if not eternity).

Replacement bridge pins from Taylor* are a little bigger in diameter and shorter in length than the originals, but do fit. The E and A pins stand a bit higher off the bridge than the others, but not unplayably so. They change the tone a little, but the adorable boxiness is still there.

What can I say? This is my wife's guitar, but I own a 1916 Gibson A mandolin, so what do I know?
