Congrats. That will be a great guitar for you and bring years of pleasure without a doubt. Glad to hear you found it at Washington Music Center and the store is still going. Spent many hours in the acoustic room and they staff gave me a lot of good advice over the years, including recommending Tom Espinola as a guitar teacher. Hope to get to meet you when it’s safe and see your new prize.
Jeff

I have a Martin 00 db Tweedy and a 1972 Martin 000-28. I love them both for different reasons. I have to sell one and can’t decide which one it should be. The 000-28 is amazing, articulate and powerful for such a small guitar. But the 00 db is the similar but more open and fundamental in tone. Can’t go wrong between the 00 or 000

A bit late to the party and while I agree with most that a 000 or OM (being that they're identical bodies) would have been an all-around choice that's a better recommendation on average, I recently got a 00 body 12 fret and it's amazing. The note about being the best balanced for recording makes a lot of sense to me. It's just straight-across great sounding to me, no one part of the EQ overpowers the other.
I'm sure you'll be happy with it for years to come. |

Sure. I tried to upload these in a earlier post, here they are again. I played it for about six hours yesterday, so easy and fun to play.
Thanks again, everyone. |

She's a beauty. Congratulations. That's the one guitar that I desire, a 00-28. Gonna work on that this coming year. Play in good health!

Hey Garth,
So your 0 doesn't have enough sound. Well, I also like that size and have had 00 and 000. The O M is long length 25.4 whereas 000 is 24.9. The 00 seems perfect. I loved my 00-18G. Enjoy the hunt! BTW, is your 0 rosewood or hog? Hog has more volume. Jan |
