1997 Taylor 712 with K & K Pure Mini - SOLD
1997 Taylor 712 Grand Concert with K&K Pure Mini passive pickup, OHSC. Purchased locally from original owner in 2013.
No mechanical issues, no cracks, no repairs, no factory electronics, good neck angle, plenty of saddle, no buzzes, new D'Addario EJ16 lights. 1-3/4" nut, 2-3/16" bridge string spacing, 25-1/2" scale Great looking/sounding guitar from what many consider the Taylor Golden Era. $SOLD shipping & Paypal included (Continental US) Top has beautiful wavy silking and has aged to a warm amber color. Red center seam stripe is washed out in this image, but its clearly visible in person. 1-3/4" nut Cosmetically, it is pretty clean and presents very well with attractive woods and appointments, but it has been played. If searching/tilting in the right light, you can find a few small, mostly pin head size dimples/impressions in the top, but nothing jumps out to me. I was unaware of them until scrutinizing the guitar while preparing to sell. I did not see any on the back, body, or neck. Very slight finish marks on top back edge of headstock. Please look at the images carefully and ask questions if you have any concerns. The OHSC case is fully functional, all latches work. Missing one chrome button-foot on bottom. Guitar will ship in a proper guitar shipping box. Last edited by dlceynar; 07-21-2020 at 04:18 PM. Reason: description edit |

additional comments
At one time I owned both this guitar and a 2006 Taylor 712. The 2006 didn't stay around. They were so very different. To my ear this guitar was far superior. Warmer with more bass.

Is this standard scale? Not sure when Taylor switched to short scale on the x12 series.
Thanks

25-1/2" scale length
This one measures 12-3/4" from nut to 12th fret, so 25-1/2" scale length.
