Now that we know Epiphones are the best guitars ever, I'd want my "faux Gibson-customized" non-cutaway Blonde EJ-200 with its M-80 pickup played through its Fishman Aura Spectrum DI.

That's actually easy for me to answer. My '81 Guild D-46 that I've had for 14 years now.

The perfect guitar for me, and there's nothing it's not really good at.

Well, for now, it's an easy choice. All but one of my modern production guitars have been sold, leaving only a '14 Huss & Dalton Crossroads DS as the sole survivor.

The rest of the rack is now occupied by vintage Gibsons, Martins, Guilds and Dobros.

While I did only have one guitar for years (my beloved 000-15), at this point I would take my 000-18GE Sunburst from Jon at my favorite guitars. The 18GE has always been my life goal guitar from the moment I played one back in 2009 at Dusty Strings in Seattle. It can do absolutely everything. The short scale is comfortable to play and its a finger pickers dream. It goes great with a thumb pick which is my preferred method to play. The 000 size is the ultimate swiss army knife size, comfortable to hold and play, perfectly balanced across the strings, but still great volume and projection. The tone of Adirondack over mahogany is, to me, what a guitar should sound like. Plus, it is beautiful.

I could easily have it as my only guitar. I do still love that 000-15 though...

I have much nicer guitars than my VAM-04... but...
It is a great player.
It has a loud and balanced tone.
It folds up so I can travel with it.

I've actually been considering whittling them down to one (well, two if you count the Yairi Classical that was my grandfather's).

I've got a Froggy H12, Froggy L and Rein 00. The H12, although I like that it has a wider (1 7/8) nut, is the easiest one to do away with. The rich, lush tone is also present in the Rein (perhaps moreso), and that is now the one I grab when I want that sort of thing.

The L has a very, focused and balanced tone; and I find myself grabbing it almost every time I want to play. It's a close call for which I like better (the L or the Rein), but right now the L is the one I would keep.
