I haven't spoken to him about this next year's show, but will do so.
Or perhaps we could borrow this back for the weekend if he can't come.
Thanks,

Steve

Let me offer a pre-Thanksgiving glimpse of another guitar coming along after Jamie's SJ. This one is an OM, or more properly a 14- fret 000 since it sports a short scale. The future owner was inspired by the Christie Cook guitar, which had multi-colored wood marquetry everywhere. Which was all inspired by Dennis' Madagascar OM. He really started something for us!

The back and sides on this OM/000 are Madagascar rosewood, again like Dennis' guitar:

We're fond of the "butterfly" join at the butt end:

Thanks for looking, and a happy Thanksgiving to all!

Steve

Lovely rosette and purfling. I wouldn't mind a close up of those! Am I seeing some bearclaw in that spruce?

It WAS fun, wasn't it? Except for the Postal Service losing your first neck, it was a blast! Thanks for the kind word, Dennis!

Thank you, Stan. I'll see if we can get some closer shots. Yes, you are seeing some bearclaw, and actually a good bit. This should look lively under finish.

WOW, Stephen F Austin University topples number 1 Duke last night in basketball, coming into the game as 85-1 underdogs , and I thought the only miracles to come out of Nacogdoches were the guitars Steve and Ryan build. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Steve and Ryan, wishing you a blessed and very Merry Christmas. Thanks for enriching so many lives with your wonderful guitars. I must say that my Madi/Sinker 00 might just be the best guitar I have ever played! Hoping to start another build with you guys this year. Hope all is well on your end and that you have a busy year ahead.

Thanks Dave

Dave,

Merry Christmas to you! We couldn’t be happier that you love your new 00 so much. Also, thanks for the recognition about the Duke win. I also moderate a SFA sports forum and let’s say it’s the gift that keeps on giving. We hope to get to see you before too long. May this time be filled with joy.

Dave, many thanks for the kind wish! We hope your new year will be a fine one.
Like Ryan said, it is an honor to have put that 00 in your hands, and we're quite pleased. Next trip down here, we'll have another go at the wood locker and come up with something you'll really love! C'mon down!

Steve
