Thanks for the kind remarks, guys!
Tim, I appreciate your offer, and am praying as well for all gits to make it safely.
Cotten, please DO stop by our table. That is, if you can tear yourself away from the McKnight table! (Isn't there supposed to be a verrrrry interesting guitar there? )

Soon mates,

Steve

OK, you're on to me, keyshore. I just like sunbursts, and thought I'd build a guitar for myself. Of course, if someone else likes sunbursts, needs a 12 string, and falls for this guy, believe me--it IS for sale.
But if it comes back home with us, I will very much enjoy taking it out and playing it. (And, showing it off to shop visitors, too.)

Thanks for the compliment!

Steve

Steve,

I feel your pain with the Texas heat. It's been 105+ here in Austin everyday for the last 5-6 days. I sent my guitars out yesterday and can only hope they survive the heat. I checked into trying to carry them on via Southwest, but was told no.

I have one still on the bench for final setup that I was going to bring and may still, but I'll have to ship out Monday and send it priority. My experience has been best with USPS as long as I'm sending OM's and smaller and that's mostly what I build.

I'm looking forward to the new venue, it looks like a more user-friendly setup for both exhibitiors and attendees, so I'm excited about that. I hope to meet lots of AGF'ers at the big show, so please stop by my booth and say hello.

Hi Steve,

I wish I could ... however I hope to attend the next one ... if Jeff is attending, mostly likely I will.

Jimmy, I've had better luck with Continental/United. Of course, they're probably extra sensitive how they treat guitars now because of the whole "United Breaks Guitars" YouTube video. (Which was great.) Perhaps you should do a video on guitar intolerance by Southwest airlines!

aDAM--next time for sure my friend.

Thanks John, see you soon, and safe (and cool) travels!

Steve

Wow Steve,

a double 12! It looks great. The mahogany on the back looks like fire and water all at once. The colors on the back and the burst look so good together. The headstock looks amazing too! I wish I could play it!

Thanks Burton. And you are responsible (well, partly) for the aesthetic of the headstock. Buttons are a perfect match for the overlay.
Aren't you coming to H'burg? You can play it there....
Double thanks,

Steve

Steve,

Unfortunately no, I won't be there. And I would be shocked if this one isn't taken home by some lucky person at the show so I may be out of luck on getting to play it!

Too bad you're not coming, I'd very much enjoy finally getting to meet you.
I hope your instincts are right about this one selling...but if it comes back home I know I'm going to enjoy having it around. It has (for a 12 string) quite a comfortable neck.

Thanks again Burton,

Steve
