Default Galloup Guitar Inlay

I've been working on new inlay techniques over the past year that's been paying off of lately. My idea was to generate a new art form of sorts that will stretch current inlay boundaries. Well it's expanded faster than I though.

Here's one example

Why yes thebolo I do not mind.

What I wanted to do was develop a system that was totally computer generated so I produce artwork in any style I liked that could be stored and retrieved at will. This is not so I could reproduced inlays but that every inlay project adds to a ever expanding pallet of techniques.

At this time every inlay is different by design to keep it fresh and the customer will have a personalized project unique to them. All I need is an idea, theme or photo to work from.

We have gotten so fast at this that for many projects the price is surprisingly low in relationship to other alternatives. For example, I can take a photo of your favorite uncle to a finished inlay in hours.

In the inlay below the customer was a climber who gave us a photo. We used the photo he supplied and took it to inlay with the theme he liked.

In the current project the customer supplied me with three photos taken at a car rally. I put them together on a story board I developed for approval. The next step is to develop the actual inlay for final approval before moving to the machine.

In the end, this project will be gone over with a fine comb to bring every detail out and make it pop. Then you will see the rally car in all it's glory.

Thanks Mr. Galloup. CAD/CAM is a pretty awesome thing. My dad has a little cnc setup in our shop that I do some stuff on, but I'm nowhere near this level. I hope you do well with this, its definitely unique
