Default Bring out your Pandemic Puppies!

We've all heard and said a lot about our Pandemic guitars. It's a documented fact. And how about those pandemic Pups? Mine came to us over the weekend. Born on 1/3/21, he's a perfect product of the new year, a better year for all, I expect.

Meet Tacoma, named more for the city where my daughter attended college and the Native American name for Mount Rainier. He's a dark-eyed loverboy with a clown face who just wants to eat me alive, as he's teething. Can ya'll name the breed?

Let's see yours, if they're less than one year old.

At first glance, I thought that was a Keeshound like mine, and one of the prettiest I've ever seen!

We lost our Rotty "Gunny" of 10 years last summer. We love the breed and have had 3 over the last 32 years. Right before Christmas we got #4 and he a is a doll.

Newest addition to the family - Mongo.

He is growing and his buddies wonder what we are feeding him.

Not really a Pandemic Puppy, in my view. I took our old dog to her death bed in July. It took me a few weeks to decide that I want to go through the trials and joys of raising a puppy one more time. I had fallen in love with a breed, and it took a while to get a puppy. I was in line with 4 breeders who were just EXPECTING to have puppies. One was a false alert, two already had more prospective owners than they eventually had puppies, but one worked out for us. So we had our puppy in late November.

Here's Sumu (Finnish for Fog) at the end of February.

Adopt, don’t shop.
Let’s end the puppy mills.

Here’s ours.

We lost our two older dogs within 3 months of each other, we were heart broken and the house seemed empty. We found the male(left) by chance at a shelter about 50 miles from here. Decided we needed two dogs, and went to the same shelter a month later and his sister was still there, so she came home with us.
