I have found harder tension, carbon fiber strings work better with cedar tops. Savarez Alliance work well on my cedar top.

I agree with this. My Cordoba Fusion 12 came with these. When one broke and I went to purchase another set they did not have Alliance. I bought another brand ( name??). Guitar lost all its tone. Found them on Juststrings.com. Placed an order for four sets ( not cheap) but the feel and sound awesome. Try them.
