Default Guitar Carry Bags?

My GS Mini is a little over a week away from leaving and going to my grand daughter. One of the many joys of that guitar was the easy carry bag. I have to climb stairs to get to my guitar lessons and that was a tad more difficult for an old man with a hard case. My Taylor and Huss and Dalton cases are particularly heavy.

Just as a convenience, I was wondering if there are well padded soft strap backpack type cases out there somewhere for larger guitars? Larger like in a 00 or 000 size. A larger version of the GS Mini case would be ideal.

Yep, tons of them. The question is how are you planning on securing your Mini in there with the extra room?

Here's a quick idea of what I think you're looking for but make sure you get the thickest possible padding:

I don't have experience with these much but I hear good things about the Mono bags and the Gator Ultimate cases. You really need to spend over $100 to get anything decently padded and comfy. Good luck!

All of my guitars live in hard cases. But there are times when I go to a jam that I put one in a Gator Gig Bag. It makes navigating stairs a lot easier with it slung over your shoulder when using a cane.

The guitar I usually take to a jam is my Takamine GD93.

Here's one for classical size. I'd be sure to check the dimensions.

My favorite is Mono Cases. They're a little more expensive, but offer excellent protection. Other very good options are Gator Cases and Reunion Blues.

Lots of great options out there and I haven't used a hard case in decades, ever since shortly after I started playing professionally. My favorites are InCase, but from all the feedback I've read, apparently Reunion Blues and others make some great stuff too.

That bag looks exactly like the Taylor Mini bag.

Check out MUSIC AREA gig bags on Amazon - they are from China and I think they just robbed all the high-end gig bag companies' patents. They are EXCEPTIONAL and way cheaper than comparable bags.

Their lower-end bags are amazing, but the mid-level ones are just exceptional.

I have a Gator Transit Bag - mine is gray and I found it for less money but here is a link to their website. Great case.

I'm a fan of Reunion Blues gig bag. A lot of padding, light weight and great for the times I will be doing a lot of walking and don't have it in me to lug around the hardshell.

I have a gator for my electric, it's a great gig bag as well.

I just received a SKB rigid foam case made for the GS Mini from Sweetwater, although it was purchased to accomodate another similar sized guitar.

I researched the purchase a bunch and chose the SKB over the Gator product that is similarly sized. The Gator has a screwed-on handle that has some bad reviews, and the SKB has a strap handle that is sewn along both halves of the case and can't come loose.

The SKB is REALLY first-rate, and they do make the same rigid foam cases for larger guitars. Check the sizes out and pick one to fit your particular guitar.

Look into TRIC cases. I won't buy any other 'soft' cases ever.

I have two Music Area bags and they are an incredible deal. I just purchased the second bag on sale for $55 on Amazon and it is very, very good.

Thanks folks - I ordered a Levy DreadGB200. Think that will work for my three remaining guitars. Thanks for all the input!
