I will admit I was curious. But now that I've heard it, you can rest assured that my money is safe. :-)

That is one of the most hideous things I've ever seen.

I look at that and say to myself I know it can be done, the question is why?

Makes me laugh when Martin fans comment on their dislike of the Gibson SJ-200 mustache bridge and ornate pickguard.

This is so much nicer ... not.

That is a great sounding guitar -- I love the sustain and the full rich sound all across the registers. Design wise, definitely not my thing but I can recognize and acknowledge the work and time that went into making that. It's concept art.

In my eyes it is not very beautiful. But the sound is phenomenal.

It's not for me but that's why they build Ford's and Chevy's and a whole lot of other vehicles!

To be fair, this isn't a model that's part of their regular lineup like the SJ-200 is Gibson's. This is a limited run to show off. I agree it's hideous.

I'm not a fan of massive bling. Things that are functional, great. A few classy artistic flourishes, great... but when it gets to "ok Joe, here's a 1kg bag of abalone and I want you to find some way of getting all of it onto that guitar" type stuff I'm out; it's a guitar, not a disco ball.

This one is a bit different. I have to say I find it "interesting" more than "bleugh". I'm not sure what all the clockwork had to do with martin...? But it's still not really my cup of tea.

It's not a dig at martin. Gibson does it too.

A standard J200 or hummingbird is enough decoration for me. Once it gets to this stage it's waay too much for me...

I can appreciate the artistry, but it's somehow less of a guitar for being more of a work of art. I just can't quite see me sitting down and bashing out cowboy chords on it -- which is convenient because I can't afford one!

It sounds great, but it looks so ugly! There is nothing like decorations done beautifully, and this is nothing like decorations done beautifully.

Looks like a guitar within a guitar. Weird.
