Default "Wichita Lineman" with tab on a Somogyi 00 (Euro/Brazilian)

Hey AGF fam,

I finally had tabs made for my arrangement of this Jimmy Webb/Glen Campbell classic that works so nicely for Dream Guitars' demos. Had the immense pleasure of recording it on the latest guitar to leave Ervin Somogyi's workshop before it went overseas. It's a beautiful 00 body with Euro spruce and Brazilian back and sides. Regardless of what many may remark about Ervin's guitars being pricey, I find the guitars leaving his shop to be the Stradivarius equivalent in the acoustic guitar world. They leave nothing to be desired, tonally, and play so easy. Controlled overtones and a warm bass response that acts like a blanket foundation for melodies. Recommend listening with nice headphones if possible :-) cheers and hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Great stuff Dustin - that's one seriously musical instrument!

I might be traveling your way in the early spring - would be fun to stop in the shop and have a chat.

Very nice. I was floored when I saw the price of the only guitar I found a price for on that site. Maybe I will hit the lottery.

I still remember hearing this arrangement for the first time with you playing it on your Taran. A beautiful, melancholic tune, masterfully arranged and performed. I’m tempted to download the tabs just to see how impossible it is to play. Bravissimo!

Great song played by a wonderful player on a lovely guitar - what more could we ask for? Thanks!
Best,
Jayne

Thanks for the kind words, folks. At the risk of sounding arrogant I smile a bit when I listen back to this through headphones. Such a soulful guitar. Not sure I will ever have the privilege of playing a 00 from Ervin like this again. It's a standout, in my book!

One of my favorite songs, inventive note choices/voicings, nice technique, and all on what I suspect, is a very nice guitar. I hope you're having a good day.
