What would "Compatibility between the two guitars" mean? I have zero interest in having very similar guitars.

My picks for 2 "desert island" guitars would be the first two in this trilogy:

I didn't intend compatibility to mean similar as most of the respondents seemed to understand. In fact, quite the contrary. In the original post I indicated that one of my desired pairs would be a Martin D18 and a 000-15sm....

Does a Weissenborn count as one of the two?

I only own two acoustics so it is easy for me.
Gibson J-45 Original 50s and Adamas 1687-8 GT.
However I'd love to add a nice classical guitar (Esteve 8, I'm looking at you...).

Thanks, RP.
I know I was confused, but confused I am often.

I only have a 00, and then an old beat up Little Martin with very light strings on that I practice on when we watch movies at night, and I'm very content.

Thinking about only having two guitars causes my brain to short circuit. Can't do it.
