Default Looking at an SS Stewart '40s archtop - Opinions?

Hi. I'm going to look at a 1940s SS Stewart archtop this weekend, but I don't know anything about this line. The owner is asking $225 and a body crack has been previously repaired. Any opinions would be helpful. Thanks.

I found this link in a forum search and the guitar looks similar to the one I'm going to see... http://antebelluminstruments.blogspo...rchtop_29.html

I'm pretty sure SS Stewart was a music publisher. All the instruments bearing their name were sourced by companies like Regal, Kay, etc.

$225 sounds like a good price.
