1941 Martin D-18 SOLD
Selling this wonderful playing and sounding pre-war Martin D-18. Chronic shoulder pain from a rotator cuff injury really prevents me from playing a dreadnought for very long without pain.
This D-18 has many well-repaired cracks but is structurally 100% sound and ready for another 80 years. Has not been refinished, has original tuners, pick guard, bridge plate and I don't know about the bridge but if it's not original, it's a perfect reproduction. 1 11/16th at the nut. Neck has been reset and a new aged bone saddle has plenty of life. Was just set up and plays like a dream. Ships in a current generation Austin TX-made Calton Case (White with Dark Burgundy). This was the main stage instrument of a touring musician (who is also a luthier) prior to my acquiring it. SOLD! Will be full covered on my instrument insurance policy door to door Last edited by Evanelk; 11-17-2019 at 07:45 PM. |
