Default Twin neck , anyone?

I play guitar and bouzouki and have thought about this s few times, even got to planning stages with a Luthier, but he was just too busy to try it. Are there any twin neck acoustic owners here?

Never bought it, but I remember seeing this one hanging in the Brooklyn Sam Ash in the late-60's:

Did anyone really play double neck electric guitars either? Or were those just to look cool on stage in the 80's?

Friend of one of my old shooting buddies scored a brand-new Gibson EDS-1275 in the late-70's, at the old King James Music on Flatbush Ave. & Ave. S, as a companion for his '65 SG Special - last I heard of him he was still using it...

I had an ovation doubleneck. It was neck heavy I had buy a lock-in strap. Seems like a cool idea but not so fun to actually play so I sold it. These case was insanely huge

Agree that the novelty wears off in a hurry once you start lugging around the case!

George Kuo, slack key master, has played a double neck Yairi for years. Here is a clip from 2011.

Maartin Allcock - fantastic musician and sorely missed by all in the UK folk community. Maart was the first person I'd ever heard coin the name 'bouzar' or 'guitzouki', referring to this Sobell:

His twin neck acoustic was interesting - saw him use it with Fairport:

(Side note: I had an Aphex Aural Exciter back in the day; not sure using it on a straight UST pickup gives the best tone... but that guitar!)

And what's even crazier is that when I searched for the above video, I encountered this... at WalMart?!
