I hate my metronome.

If tonight was any indication then I've got a feeling I'm gonna hate it a WHOLE LOT MORE in the coming weeks.
Some songs work just fine with a metronome for me, but when I have trouble with that, I use a drum machine. The change in sounds from a drum machine, especially the kick drum and snare, really seems to help me as opposed to monotonous beeps.

I don't think it will, either.

Some people sound mechanical when they play, whether they are playing with a metronome or not. And some people are very skilled about how their playing fits into the beats and measures. Some people have an innate feel for playing music that sounds very musical, as opposed to mechanical.
