Default RIP Paul Sherwen

I am truly devastated by this news. I have been listening to Paul and Phil since the Paul joined Phil on the TDF broadcasts on ESPN 30 years ago and various other cycling events thru my lifetime.

Reallly sad. Haven’t heard the cause, but sounds like he’d been dealing with depression, so just hope that didn’t precipitate it. Man, he’d really been carrying Phil the last several years, so I don’t know if Phil carries on without him or if he hang em up soon professionally after this. Cycling won’t be the same for spectators without that pair calling the races...

RIP Paul...

I was also greatly saddened by this terrible news. I enjoyed listening to Paul and Phil calling the TDF for many years. I don't know if Paul "carried" Phil as has been suggested but I wonder if Phil will continue on with a new partner.

Deepest condolences to his family,
PJ

I believe the word from his family is that his cause of death was heart related. Definitely a shame. The tour won't be the same without his color commentary.

Such a bummer, TDF will never be the same but looking forward I vote on Bobski Roll to take over for Paul. That would make Paul smile.
