Beautiful, Joel! Love the bridge design. Can’t wait to see it complete and with strings on!

Hey Mike...Steve keeps reminding me that your bridge design evolved from mine 🤫

Looks awesome, Joel--would love to try it out!

I'm curious if you're bringing this or the EIR to B.I.G. in March? Or do you have some other builds planned for that?

Looking forward to meeting you!

Hey Nemoman...thanks a lot. I’d like to sell these two guitars prior to the B.I.G.
...but I’ve got a Flamed Koa 000/concert and another Cocobolo 0000/auditorium guitar that I’m building for the show. I also look forward to meeting you at Tom’s shindig...which should be a really great adventure.

Joel

This one is running neck and neck with the EIR build. Wet sanded, buffed, and currently on the bench being polished. We’re in the home-stretch:

Question to the builders on the forum:

Does the process of “cutting-in” the bridge, heel and fingerboard extension ever become NOT NERVE-WRACKING?

I can't imagine approaching a guitar with an Exacto knife ever not being nerve-wracking! The guitar looks beautiful, Joel!

It does become “not nerve wracking,” but it doesn’t ever become not “sphincter clinching” if you can grasp the distinction. Definitely something to be approached with caution every time.

Thanks Mike...I felt as if I were scratching a dirty word into the paint of a fine German sports car. 🤔🤭😲

The bridges are glued on now...so we’re in the home stretch. I can’t wait to hear them find their voices.

They look wonderful Joel. I hope you sell them before March also, but the little devil in me hopes that they can come to B.I.G. also because I would love to try them out!

So, Ryan...
What you’re saying is that it’s just like Luke learning to use The Force. The concentration, repetition and muscle memory help to focus your mind and remove the anxiety...yet it will always be an intense moment when you need to use it.

If Master Yoda would have been in the shop while I was performing the surgery, he would have surely mused: “indeed...high, is the pucker-factor, with this one!”

Thanks Tom,
I am over-the-moon with the way that these two guitars have turned out aesthetically...and with the Edwinson DNA on the inside, I’m anticipating the voices to be pleasing also...just like my previous builds. If the latter rings true, I wouldn’t be the least bit aprehensive to place them into the hands of any of the fine builders (and great players) inside of our AGF community...and beyond.

I’m currently working on four other guitars (two commission builds and two builds for B.I.G.) but March is closing in on us quickly, and I’m a little nervous that they won’t be ready...so I’m considering the possibility of holding these for your show to make sure that I arrive with at least two guitars.
