The woods are wonderful- that flaming mahogany for the neck is something! And I love that she wrote you little notes inside the box... so cool!

I liked that, too! I love the grain on the Macassar ebony fret board as well as the flame on the neck. It is so exciting to see this archtop guitar come together.

Best,
Jayne

It's from a stock of 25 year old air dried and hand split Sitka spruce that Maegen had in her wood room.

I love the fret board too! Macassar Ebony is a gorgeous wood and it creates such a cool look for the fret board. I'm quite jazzed about this guitar and looking forward to how it will sound in Jamie's hands!

I thought I'd add a few photos that Maegen has sent me in the last day. She just finished buffing it, and today is working on installing the pickup (which will be a Lollar Johnny Smith style humbucker) It's so hard to believe to that I'll be getting this guitar in one week! Time has really slowed to a crawl 😂

It's good to get pictures during the final countdown! And these are great pictures of what looks to be an amazing instrument. That tailpiece is so gorgeous!

Can't wait to hear what this will sound like in your extremely talented hands!! Hearing you play this guitar should be a "must see" for every lucky person who is heading to La Conner!

Thanks for the update! We are hanging in there with you!

Smile Mighty Beautiful Axe!

Wow that is beautiful.

The neck is a complete show stopper. Yikes!!!

Wish I was going to LaConner. I would love to hear you and this beauty, too...

Have FUN

Paul
