Shipping will be a snap. The neck is telescoping and the body folds in on itself (given adequate string tension). I can put the parts in a pouch that stores under the plane seat.

Just !!!!WOW!!!!

I'm stunned by the beauty of it!

Can't imagine a more beautiful guitar!
Without even hearing it, I'm in love. (soundclips soon please?)

Incredibly well done!

Sportycliff I do appreciate the high praise.
The only problem with sound clips is that I dont have any recording equipment and if I did you certainly wouldn't want to hear me go through my litany of cowboy chords.

Tim,
I was curious also, so I zoomed in as far as I was able, but still couldn’t decide either. Thanks for asking the question.

John,
Beautiful guitar. I wish that I could see it in person. Next time that my family and I travel to Asheville, I’d love to make a visit to the shop...if your schedule permits.

Joel

Smile Floating FBE...

Hey Tim and Joel. On the two I asked John to build with the elevated FB extension the only place it touches the top is right at the binding. It is difficult to tell for sure on the latest as the middle piece of Carbon Fiber in the neck seems to extend down to the top. And I believe perhaps it fits in a shallow groove in the top ?

Whatever John is doing is working great as both of these sound SPECTACULAR.
And I asked for very slender and slightly V necks to accommodate my small old left hand... so the old adage about fat neck equals fat tone is not a factor.

John, if I am incorrect here please give us the poop!

And I should point out that the four JKs I have been fortunate to own are each different in many ways, and many of them structural. John seems to always be on a righteous quest to make them sound better!

I will attempt a pic or three. Wish me luck.

Almost impossible to get my iPad in the right spot for a great pic of this. And I refuse to get a smart phone... haha

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks Joel

You are always welcome to drop in for a visit. Give me a little heads up cleaning time.

Looking in the sound port it is clear the CF extends through a slot in the top! And you can see some of the CF struts that Tim McKnight kindly turned John on to! Thanks Tim!!!IMG_6039.jpgIMG_6038.jpg

Again, this is my most recent JK. The OVERLORD, Maple and Cedar Round Peak. The cute 00 hot rod this thread is about may vary!

I hope this is helpful. If not, John, just tell me to stop! Hahahahaha

Cheers

Paul

Default 00 Ebony

I got to play all of Johns guitars yesterday before he ships them out to La Conner. And I will say they are all great guitars. I really wanted to play the oak single 0 but what stood out for me was the ebony 00. It's light and very responsive with great volume. Fit and feel are great - easy to play, not to mention it is a real piece of art.

If you are going to La Conner and are thinking you might go home with a guitar you better go to John's booth first cause this one is not gonna last long.

That's so gorgeous, John! I love the ebony and a lightly built ebony parlor with that JK tone I'm sure is something special! La Connor is going to be over the top this year
