Cordoba C10 String recommendations
Cordoba C10 Ceder Top
It comes with Savarez Cristal Corum High Tension 500CJ strings I would like to know if owners have found strings that they find appropriate and or preform well on the ceder top C10 Thanks |

The Cristal are nylon. Across multiple guitars, I find carbon to have a clearer #3 string, Savarez 500AJ Corum Alliance High Tension.

My favorites on almost every classical I've owned are Pro Arte EJ45c (composites)
The sealed packaging makes sure they are fresh, and they seem to last forever for me (usually at least 3-4 months of play at my average rate of use) They are consistent, and have very nice tone and string separation.

What (if anything) did you not like about the original strings?

IRONIC that your C10 post is only a few minutes after my C10 post; both concerning strings !
I will say this: Don't let the recommendation to stay with the Savs it comes with scare you... As I have, do try other makes and tensions...As I state in my post I actually was happy with the Alice strings up until the A popped ! Now I'm in a quandary as to what to do next..Awaiting suggestions same as you !! M |

Carbons have longer life than nylons? I don't know. I'll second fitness' thumbs up for Pro Arte EJ45c. Alice strings, Markin? First I've heard of them.

Anyone tried the Hannabach Silver Special 815HT Classical Guitar Strings Full Set or other Hannabach on the Cordoba C10 ? Last edited by gtonesine; 07-07-2020 at 09:29 PM. |

I have two Cordoba C-10's, one spruce the the other cedar. C-10's have fairly loud bass but I really like a strong bass. So after much reading about strings for the c-10 I am now using for Trebles Dougal Diamente and for Bass, Savarez Cantiga. I am really happy with this combo but this is very personal, so do more reading.

C10's (I have a Cedar) tend to suffer from the inexpensive classical guitar problem....too much bass (or not enough treble). I find the Savarez Alliance Corum (500AJ) helps with this and brings the guitar closer to being balanced. Carbon trebles with Corum basses, both high tension.
As a note to help: Carbon trebles (from anyone) are SLICK. When you are tying at the bridge, I usually loop the E and B strings 3 times rather than 2. I also use a lighter and burn a little bulb on the end to help catch the string if it slips a bit. Also, this is a SAVIOR when re-stringing a classical guitar: https://www.stringsbymail.com/string...ges-15618.html

There are quite a few variations of the Dougal and especially the Savarez Cantiga , can you specify exactly which Basses and trebles you find that work for you ? much appreciate your input |
