If you watch the app screen one can see an “edit” button for each channel... maybe we will have something more there than bass treble and reverb.... let’s hope

Sums it up for me..

I do like the master vol and fx loop.
Lack of para mid is a deal breaker.

The guys from HK answered...

Unfortunately it’s not possible to load individual impulse response into it. For an acoustic guitar it’s usually not really needed. The guitar speaker simulations are the standard speakers of Electric guitar cabinets.
Most acoustic guitar players want to achieve a natural sound result which you can achieve by plugging in your acoustic guitar directly in one of the inputs. Then you still have the opportunity to shape it with the 2 band EQ and the reverb.

Very interesting; lots to like about this. Sadly, it's another promising amp with a deal-breaker flaw (for me): no phantom power! I always use one of my two condenser mics, so 48v phantom is mandatory. Sure, I could get a small mixer w/ phantom power and go mic -> mixer -> HK, but that adds another box & cables, and there are other options. Hope my wonderful & beloved Carvin AG300 lasts forever!

Do not find any reviews on them. Do you have an idea why?

Should be a tempting product....

True about phantom power.

There are a few quality condensers such as the AKG C-1000 or the Rode NT-3 that accept batteries, but you shouldn't have to own a condenser that takes batteries to use the amp. You can also get a phantom power block that goes between the mic and input, you don't need to use a mixer. Again, it shouldn't be necessary, but HK must have figured most people who use their product would be using something like a 57. Do they think folks who want a higher level of quality should look for another brand? That's a bit odd...

The first thing you get to when you start looking at an amp is the inputs, and it's odd that HK labeled the first two as "mic / line". The input is plainly set up as a mic / instrument level input and labeling it as "line" doesn't give me any warm and fuzzies about anything thereafter if they label inputs in a way that most would perceive as not being an instrument level input.

"Bass / Treble" EQ? They must be concerned about all that extra expense of using a couple more potentiometers.

Great Limpias and farantouri,

Please give us your feedback when you will receive it.

What amp/small PA did you use previously?

Default HK entering the battery powered market with hot-swappable batteries!

Have it @ home now. First impression is promissing, the box sounds like a true PA. Good linear response with a nice low end. I have a Taylor 814ce where I even have to reduce the bass response in order to not sound boomy.

I really like the knobs and general user interface since I dont like to use a phone during a gig. An amp has to be manually adjustable for me, this is a lot better solved than on my old amp...

Before, I had a JBL EON ONE Compact which has a lot more mids than the HK. Wheather that is an advantage or a disadvantage playing in a mixed situation I still have to find out (after Corona)...

There is one killer though. When I attach the power cord and an instrument cable at the same time, there is a loud 50 Hz Hum. Workin on battery alone there is no problem. The guitarworks fine on my other amp, the problem exists only with the HK. The power unit has no grounding, maybe I have a „humming loop“ or so...

Since the amp should be future proof working without batteries there is no way I will keep it without a solution. Any ideas what could be the problem?? The unit seems to be working just fine otherwise....
