I bought my SCGC Dread cutaway in 1982 to play fingerstyle. It was before I discovered DADGAD and most of my songs were in DADF#AD. I finally got a Cruz OM in 1999.

Four other fingerstylists I listen to almost every day play dreads pretty much exclusively (man those guilds are popular aren't they). I think John Butler's Maton 11 string is a dread. I am pretty sure the list goes on and on.
