Default UST Question

Hey guys,

I just bought a B-Band A2.2 XOM which came with a wider under saddle transducer. While checking the fit, it's wider than the actual cutout of the saddle. My question is, rather than exchanging it, could it be trimmed narrower to make it fit? Or is this not a good idea?

You can re-slot and replace the saddle or exchange it but I wouldn't trim it.

Return it and get the correct one for your guitar's saddle width... UST's are NOT something you can just "trim" a little... all companies make a "normal" and a "wide" version of their UST pickups.

I certainly would not modify my guitar to accommodate the wrong size pickup...

Thank you all for your reply. I will take the advice and exchange it out.
