Vega Mandolin value
I have a Vega bowl back mandolin made in Boston Ma. It belonged
to my Grandmother. I have a picture of her playing it when she is about 13or14. Cica 1904. It is payable however get some buzz at the 5th fret and beyond. It is beautiful instrument. Any thought on what it might be worth?

Like most bowl backs, it probably won't have a monetary value anywhere near the older A and F style. Vega made a cylinder back that is sought after. I would suggest contacting a dealer specializing in mandolins to determine configuration, condition and value of yours as they do vary quite a bit.

I've seen them from maybe $150 to $1000 in that vintage. Varies by model and condition so no one price covers all.
