Yeah. The EQ points are really better, but there's a piezo quackiness that it introduces bob my rig that I do not like at all. Replacing it with the Fire Eye + ParaEQ on a couple of gigs this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I built it to fit into a road case. The open tray part holds my mic, business cards, picks, etc in transport.

I'm just about to commission a custom built wooden pedalboard from these guys - I figure it may as well look good as well as keeping everything tidy!

Here is my homemade pedal board that I constructed using 1 X 8 pine that I sanded and tung oiled.
It is used for mandolin and dobro and the path is: Dobro>Fishmand JD Aura>Empress Para EQ> Channel 2 of Tonebone Mandolin>Channel 1 of Tonebone The HOF Reverb and Mojomojo Overdrive are in the Tonebone effects loop and the Polytune 2 Mini is in the tuner output. |

This is my country band pedal board rig. It's built onto a Pedal Pad platform. The acoustic chain is as follows:
Loar LO-16 with EMG ACS pickup into mini tuner-->ross-a-like dyna compressor-->line switcher-->donner mini volume-wah-->GMF Ai-1 acoustic preamp DI. The electric chain is mini tuner-->ross-a-like dyna compressor-->line switcher-->soul food-->wampler dual fusion-->RK flyrig-->joyo tremolo-->soul shiver-->Ernie Ball MVP-->donner noise killer-->donner mini-DI Small footprint, easy to set up, gets the job done.

The POG Nano gives me some added oomph with bass. I use this for mostly electric, but occasionally with acoustic too.

Happy with my 'lil stereo acoustic guitar action I got going on. Not quite a "purists" rig by any sense of the imagination but I rather enjoy the way it sounds. If I can't just have two microphones pointed at my guitar, give me lots of pretty pedals to step on. --------------------------------- martin seth avett d35 with a fishman natural 1 and a sunrise s2 pickup. Everything runs through a trs cable into a homemade splitter box. Then the fun begins. Channel A: fishman natural 1 -> empress effects para eq -> fishman aura sixteen -> jhs colour box -> aphex audio acoustic xciter -> radial firefly tube di with a strymon blue sky in the insert. Channel B: sunrise s2 -> sunrise buffer box -> tc electronic flashback delay -> jhs alpine reverb -> radial pzdeluxe di Everything powered by the prettiest power supply out there, a limited edition walrus audio Phoenix. |

I have yet to try my new pedalboard out with electric guitar, been too busy practicing with my new band, but I've set it up to be usable for either. For acoustic with the band, the only pedals I've been using actively are the PZ-Pre for it's boost switch and the chorus, but there are plans to use the tube screamer clone and/or the distortion for some lead parts.
Curious thing happened, though (could have been the heat/humidity) - on a couple of the pedals, the Velcro that came with the board stuck great to the bottom of the pedals - which had factory labels - but the label peeled off, leaving the pedal loose and the label and Velcro still stuck to the 'felt'!

Pedal Board
I actually use this for both my electric and acoustic guitars. Depending on what I'm doing. Had it laid out on a homemade board but recently got a PT-3. Running a True Tone One Spot CS-7 power supply. Really like running the pair of FS-5U foot switches. A lot easier than trying to do it with just the RC-3.

I haven't seen one posted with a ToneDexter yet, so I thought I'd share mine.
The Gibson has a K&K on tip, and a DiMarzio magnetic on ring. The board functions as a dual acoustic/electric rig. For a very satisfying acoustic sound that can go fairly loud: K&K through ToneDexter. For electric sounds: DiMarzio w/ optional Sparkle Drive distortion into San Amp into ToneDexter's effects return, for control of mute/tune and boost. For organ sounds: Dimarzio into a modified B9 into Sans Amp back to ToneDexter. I plug this straight into the full range PA via the XLR DI output on ToneDexter. I use this with my three piece band doing 60s and 70s pop music. pedal board s.jpg Gibson s.jpg

Dang, some super nice boards on this page fellers!
I finally had the time to put the first version of mine together. Everything is in the loop of the Fishman Aura Spectrum- Aura Spectrum loop > Tuner > Pangaea > Mosquite Blender loop > G3. The AMT Pangaea is loaded up with 3 Sigma Audio acoustic guitar responses. I'm using this board with a Godin A6 Ultra direct to P.A.. It's built into a modded DAP Audio D7403 case, the board itself is made from 3/8" thick lexan sheet. Here's the layout I made before building this board. Nice board Ccouch7. Very well done. What’s that AMG Pangea do? Never heard of that. Nice small footprint. As well the Moquite Blender. New one on me as well.
That input/output dock is a nice touch. All so clean. Very impressive. Would love to see the wiring. |
