Default Kronbauer - Engelmann Spruce/Cocobolo

Hi guys,

Compared to other build threads, this is quite modest and not as detailed and comprehensive.

But...

This custom build means a lot.

After a particularly bad experience with a previous custom build where the 'luthier' cuts off contact but is still soliciting business. This particular builder has posted on here before. But that having been said, I'm particularly thrilled to place an order with Trevor Kronbauer.

Some might wonder why Trevor?

I am very aware of the rough patch he went through a couple of years back. Given my experience, I should be wary. However, at least Trevor has made an effort to get his life back on track and make things right.

I RESPECT that.

I placed an order for an Engelmann Spruce/Cocobolo guitar in his mini-jumbo shape.

Here are my humble pics.

That's a nice looking set of Coco there!

I'm sad to say that I likely know who the "other" builder is.

Fine looking wood choice, look forward to seeing this develop.
I'm confident you will be thrilled with the end result. I purchased a great Kronbauer here on the AGF in December and I have to tell you it is a fantastic guitar. The quality of the craftsmanship is first class and it is a delight to play, I can't praise Trevor highly enough.

Yep, pretty darn frustrating. I could've placed a deposit with another luthier instead! Wasted GAS!

On a brighter note, I went with Engelmann Spruce over Carpathian Spruce partially due to feedback from fellows like you about the overlap and variability of Spruce.

Trevor said his Engelmann was much stiffer than the Carpathian he had in stock and perfect for my requirements. Love the look as well!

The Cocobolo is a nice bonus. Love the distinct dark lines and patterns.

Looking forward to playing it with the soundport.

Looking good! We know who the other builder is and will avoid him like the plague.

Hi there Aloha,

I wasn't referring to Rob Bustos from Paragon.

Regards.

For some reason the option to PM you is not available?

I've been working with Trevor for a few years now. Nothing but great service and great guitars.
