Speaking of the great Dan Fogelberg. There was also the venerable Jesse Colin Young.

Thanks for the post!

I liked Norm's comment that if you were doing a soundtrack for a movie set in the 60's and 70s, Get Together has to be included.

I wonder what other acoustic guitar signature songs would be included to set the tone of the film?

Thanks for posting that. I have some fond memories of Jesse Colin Young. I don't know the exact year but it was either 1971 or 1972 and I went to a High School in a very small town in Northern California called Tomales. Pt. Reyes is 17 miles from Tomales and Jesse Colin Young lived there when he was with the Youngbloods. He had a beautiful home on a ridgetop that he lost in a massive fire. So when I was in high school one day they called us all out into this large outdoor patio and the Youngbloods performed for us. I think it was a spur of the moment thing but it was really great. The school only had 200 students in it. I really don't remember but maybe they were getting in shape for a tour? Anyway, it was a great memories. A few of my friends who lived in Pt. Reyes said he was a real nice guy. I think he was driving a Porsche in those days and one of my pals worked after school at a gas station.

The next time I saw him was around 1986 at a small room at a Casino in Lake Tahoe. I remember the tickets being $5 so my wife and I went. He did some new stuff and old stuff and some covers. I honestly can say it was not that enjoyable as it was VERY loud in such a small room.

But yep, he always was a nice guy. I had a solo album of his, maybe his first and that was really good also. Great guy.

So what i want to know is whether the Norman's people were wincing as Jesse beat the heck out of that nice new Marquis? I guess they could sell it with "genuine pick gouges by Jesse Colin Young!" ;~)
