WGN weather app and for nasty stuff, the Northern Illionois severe weather blog is fantastic, and very accurate.

Weather, Weather Channel, and WTForecast apps on my iPhone (the last is mostly for snarky, inappropriate weather comments). But most of my weather info comes from my 13yo daughter... she's obsessed with weather!

The Weather Network (https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca) for my Canadian weather. Check it a few times a day for the temperature.

I look out the window at the thermometer. Having lived here for decades I know what the temperature range is for most days from the morning start point.

Primarily going outside and looking. I do have a weather station that I check and record data from daily, have been doing so for 30 years. I am a farmer though so have a vested interest. The information I collect is after the fact, collected for the previous 24 hours. The seasonal trends, fluctuation and yearly totals are what I'm looking at.

Forecast for upcoming weather is a totally different thing and is greatly affected by specific location. I'm in an isolated rural location so don't see much data that is area specific. I do look at the app 'WeatherBug' which i find incredibly accurate, even looking at the time of day that wind or moisture is suppose to begin and/or end. I've also recently started looking at 'MyRadar' which gives current doppler radar imagines in real time of storms or weather patterns passing by. That app pinpoints your location and shows what is over head. The apps are more used for curiosity sake than anything else, but they are helpful.

My Dad uses a weather stick, which is basically an old branch that has an arm sticking out about the diameter of a pencil. It is attached to his porch, when moisture is high the arm of the stick lifts, drops in dry conditions. Totally useless other than fun to show people and explain to them how well it works.

Hmm. Some of us have guitar necks like that. Is it a vintage weather stick without a truss rod to adjust?

The weather.com app on my iPhone. I have various places set up on it, mostly from our racing days and places we like to visit, and it works pretty well. Also keep track on our local CBS newscast. And sometimes I just look outside.

Same. Link is https://forecast.weather.gov. I keep a bookmark for our location.
I really like reading the "Forecast Discussion" as well.

The iPhone builtin weather app is also good for "what's happening each hour".
