Thanks so much, Brian.

The guitar certainly gets played a lot around here...

I recently posted a cover of Tommy Emmanuel's "Stay Close To Me" in the Show & Tell section, which I'd like to document here:

And as a Custom Shop exclusive, here's #8 of my "Late Night Improvisation" series. I simply wanted an excuse to play a guitar solo and take a close-up video, so here it is:

Thanks so much for listening.

I've had my guitar in standard tuning for a while now and have been playing "lighter" material.

Will go back to alternate tunings soon...

Thanks for sharing Mau, I love your rendition of Tommy's classic tune. Your playing helped me unwind!

You are the best Olson advertising I've seen or heard. Wishing I could afford one.

Thanks! This was one of the first fingerstyle pieces that I played. My own style is very different but I learned so much from Tommy's music. His "Only" album is one of the best guitar albums IMHO.

I'm touched by your kind words -- but I think Jim's guitars got much better advertising here...

Mau, JT may be better known than you world wide, but my opinion stands. Your performances emphasize the beautiful tone that you are able to coax out of the guitar and make it center stage, where as James is center stage in his performances, not the guitar. Of course, your excellent playing ability doesn't hurt.

Thanks again, John.

I've had a lot of practice with Olsons in the last 18 months or so.

If I head out west I'd love to test drive a Halcyon. Less bling but I bet you they play and sound just as nice.

Thanks, guys.

Jim has built me two incredible guitars so far. If all goes well, a third sibling will join the family later this year. Final round of the most wonderful adventure a guitar player could ever dream of.

My priciest guitar (Braz/Lowden Custom) has had the worst luck of all my guitars.
Laquer(I hope) checks all over the back..and one ding on edge.Wood binding is nice but much more delicate to iveroid.
But could be worse.
