Rainsong H-WS1000N2
I've had this model for a while now. Was wondering if anyone else with this model noticed that the G,D and A strings actually lay on top making contact with the truss rod cover.
Thanks, Mike |

I have the Rainsong Smokey Hybrid and it does the same as well. Doesn't seem to be a problem so I don't think about it. I just play it.

I have an H-OM and the strings did the same. I replaced the plastic OEM truss rod cover with a custom carbon fiber cover and that one has clearance for the strings.

Yes, I have noticed that and I never liked that aspect of the plastic covers. I bought a Euphony carbon-fiber truss-rod cover which is much thinner than the RainSong installed plastic cover. I don't think Euphony is in business anymore. It was associated with an employee of the MacNichol store in Salt Lake City. You may try Googling the company or you may find someone else can make a cover. I don't know why RainSong doesn't supply a thinner carbon-fiber cover on their guitars as they could make them out of scrap pieces.
