Default Taylor price increase

I just noticed that the K24ce MAP on Taylor’s website went up $300 or 6.6%. Was this across the board or just on a Koa?

Well I'm not very good at math so I'll leave that to others but it's not like Taylor hides this info. Every year it gets posted online...

https://www.taylorguitars.com/sites/...ceList2015.pdf

https://www.taylorguitars.com/sites/...-List-2016.pdf

https://www.taylorguitars.com/sites/...eList-2017.pdf

https://www.taylorguitars.com/sites/...eList-2018.pdf

And so...theoretically (it's not there yet) you could see the 2019's here:

https://www.taylorguitars.com/sites/...eList-2019.pdf

But until that link gets active just look at the current lineup (with pricing shown) online here:

Almost everything goes up every year, at this time of year. I expect a 5% cost of manufacturing increase each year.

This is why we need the AGF DeLorean. We go into the future and figure out what guitars sound good after they are broken in and are full of vintage mojo. Then we go back in time and buy them new when they were cheap. Then we go back to the future, which is now and play them.

Always is but maybe not the day you posted as high temp was only about 61 which, as far as Southern Californians go, is "freezing".

I took this pic of my TV the other night. Note the scary headline on the ticker and then glance at bottom right for the then current (5pm) temp. :

no pic!

i'm in socal and certainly wouldn't consider 61 as freezing but it is cold as usual, relatively speaking, this time of year.

play music!

by way of comparison...

in March 2016 when I bought my Gibson SJ200, the going price was some where around $4,300

Three years later, will run you around $5,249

You all are a little too forgiving of those price increases. When was the last time anyone got a 5% cola?

Taylor added Gotoh 510 tuners for one thing--at least the ones over to Sweetwater have them.
