Gee, where did I misread these chords before? Facebook...earlier today.
I've been looking at TAB for so long I couldn't read the finger placement notation on the chords!

I'm wondering if any other of you use the GDAD tuning on bouzouki?
I was turned onto this by Donal Lunny back in the 80's. We had a couple support slots for Moving Hearts at the time and I was fortunate to be able to bend his ear a little. I've used that tuning ever since.
He said he'd found that tuning particularly useful when backing traditional instruments such as Uileann pipes, fiddle, etc.. and he's correct. It does allow for the more resonant open strings to be used more.

Since I'm an old dog (and new tricks are harder than the ones you already know) I tune my bouzar GDGC...the same intervals as DADG...it works for me.

I also use GDAD sometimes. Sound better for Irish music.
I tune my bouzouki GDAE when playing with the band Djal http://djal.mustradem.com/ because we play in many keys and I don't want to use capo with every tunes.

Nice and handy chart there. Thanks!

In GDAE, I usually play my B's and Bm's as:

B: 4467
Bm: 4457

You don't need a capo if you can make the stretch.

I have experimented with various tunings. It's fun to hear all of the really neat inversions, but I mainly stay safe at home with GDAE for Octave Mandolin and GDAD for Zouk.
