July 2: 5 Kinnairds, 2 luthiers, and a legend. Feel free to send $10 and a SASE to Tom B’sox for an autographed copy of this picture.

I'd say the summer heat is making us all goofy, but the fact of the matter is simply having The Tom in our shop brought smiles all day long!

Do all of those guitars belong to Tom? I'd be smiling too!

Indeed they do. It all started with that Brazilian SJ over on the left (my right).
Tom decided that custom guitar collecting is a fine way to spend your kid's inheritance. And we love him for it!

I think all I accomplished today was keeping the boys from getting anything productive done. Although, I did tape Steve playing a song that he plays that I have always wanted to learn...

Thanks for putting up with me. The last 5 hours of the trip did seem to be the longest, but 1849 miles later my dog and I are here.

We did discuss the possibility of adding a potential new sibling, but it is just at the lightbulb stage right now, needs the right piece of wood to move it from minds to reality.

Tom, it was our pleasure to have you drop by. And we are relieved you finished your trip safely. Not a land speed record, but close. As for a new sibling, we'll keep our eyes open for something tantalizing...

Steve

I feel the need to point out to all the ladies out there, that was after 2 1/2 days in my car, with my dog, and my morning shower at an Arkansas hotel that was delivered from a pipe in the wall, yes you guessed it, no shower head...oh well, I can look better all cleaned up...

Now, if anyone is into facial hair, I think the three of us provide options there

3 - Wild and Crazy Guys (without the foxes)! Or maybe the 3 Amigos?

Haha, the three something anyway Paul...

For true Kinnaird aficionados there is something slightly amiss with this photo. I can't offer a T-shirt to the winner, but at least a virtual T-shirt can be awarded to the one who can spot the anomaly. Family and employees are not allowed to participate.

Well, the guitar in Steve's left hand has a non-Kinnairdish headstock - could it possibly be by another luthier? I assumed it was a Kinnaird since he can and will vary the headstock, but what do I know?

I'm interested, Tom, in hearing about that 00 prototype you are holding. Did you post a NGD on that one? I don't remember seeing it.
