Do you prefer to learn a song to completion

I've tried to do several at a time, but I found that I really need to concentrate on 1 to really get it. Otherwise I flop around too much and none of it seems to come together the way it should. But I play mostly somewhat difficult fingerstyle songs, Tommy E. type stuff. I think it'd be different if I were a singer/songwriter type.

I almost always have another in the hopper though, and I'll take a break from the main one to run through the arrangement quickly, just to start getting a feel for it, but I never seem to make a lot of progress until it becomes my main objective.
