Default Yamaha LJ16 all solid Engelmann Spruce/East Indian Rosewood - SOLD

UPDATE: Sold my beautiful LJ16.

Gorgeous looking and sounding Rosewood-backed acoustic guitar.
Deep bass, shimmering rosewood highs - very Taylor like, but fuller (in my opinion).
12 year old guitar in mint condition - never even removed the plastic on the pick guard.

I happen to have both this one and the LJ6 (laminate back & sides version) that I have for playing out (it has pickups professionally installed) as I never wanted to let this one get banged around in the public.

Manufactured 26 November 2008
Scale is 25 9/16"
Nut width is 1.725" (43.8mm)
String spacing at the saddle is 2 3/32" (53.5mm)
Comes with a hard cloth-based case (see picture)

Feel free to ask any questions.

If you're local to Baltimore, contact me here through a private message.
If you're outside the Baltimore area (or have no plans to travel here for the guitar), See the full ad here: https://rvrb.io/2008-lj16-bawgl1

Default Just a word of how amazing this guitar is

A lot of you have more guitars than I, that isnt the point im making.

If you look at my sig, you can see that I own quite a few guitars.

The 2 that are ALWAYS sitting out, always in tune and always getting played ...the 2012 D50ce and the 2020 ARE Yamaha.

Its up to you what kind of strings to use - but, I almost sold this guitar before changing it to light strings. Because somebody on this forum told me to. Now it is, like I said, 1 of my 2 favorite guitars.

Im not good at describing nuanced tones - but I will say, This guitar is so unbelievably versatile, it is so so well made, it is very comfortable right from the factory, you have to purposely try to make it sound bad and even then, it will probably still at least sound OK..... It is a real gem of a guitar.

If this guitar got stolen or broken, I would waste no time dipping into savings or selling a kidney (we got 2, right?) to buy another one. The Engelman really does make a, pun intended, resounding difference. It responds very well to a light touch if you're finger styling as well as can fill a room if you want to use it for rhythm. I almost want to buy this one just so I can keep this one in an alternate tuning.

The only difference between my 2020 and this one is the ARE (basically, thermocured) top on my model, which with the age of this one, it's already been broken in, and the pickup - the pickup can be put in or really it doesnt even need it.

This is the first time ive vouched for anybody elses guitar, because ive never really connected with an instrument the way that I did with this Yamaha - but everything from the note separation to the versatility, to the smoothness of the neck to the sustain and melody this guitar is able to hold... Its a great guitar.

This was one of my best buys.

I know im beating a dead horse, but, I like this guitar so much I actually ended up ordering it twice - Tundra Music (sorry out there to anybody who likes them, they were absolute crap in every sense when I tried to get one of these from them) strung me along for a month before I canceled the order and found one of 3 of these available on reverb.

There is a reason there arent very many available - they dont come up for sale used very often.

If you have the slightest of GAS - you will be most fulfilled with this instrument. Buy it. Now.

You can thank Euraquilo later.

Dropping the price to $699. If you're local to the Baltimore area I can possibly go a little less (and you save on shipping).

In response to a question - this is the inside of the case. It's very protective - no room to move inside the thick walls - but doesn't weigh as much as a wood-built case.
