Care to speculate on why it's there? I thought maybe I might be missing some new modification that everyone is doing except me. I wonder if I could purchase the handle separately? I need one for a drawer in my shop.

I imagine that it's a palm rest that allows the owner to fingerstyle shred like no other. I also imagine that once this guy gets discovered, Ibanez will make a signature model in collaboration with Home Depot.

OK. Curiosity killed the cat but I had to go ask the seller on facebook. Here's what he said:

lol I just posted the guitar this morning and everybody’s asking me. Why do I have a door handle in the middle? I have Parkinson’s and my tremor in my right hand interferes with my playing so I have the handle there to put pressure on my hand so it doesn’t trimmer.

LOL! Great idea.

When my dad had Parkinson's he was King Of The Gadgets. He must have made fifty devices to stablize his hands and wrists so he could continue woodcarving, jewelry making, photography, and sometimes just ordinary home maintenance procedures.

Good for you! Parkinson's is a really tough disease and I salute you for working around it as much as possible so you can still play!
