Martin 00-18 Authentic 1931
I bought this 2016 guitar from a Forum member about 9 months ago. Since then i’ve been A/B-ing it with my Martin 000-18 GE, knowing that i could keep only one of the two. I have finally decided to keep the 000-18 GE. (Were i a blues player, i probably would have chosen the 00-18A, but i’m an old folky/singer/songwriter, and the mellowness of the larger guitar suits me better.)
The 00-18A is an outstanding guitar. This one is in excellent condition (no dings or significant scratches), and all original, with the Martin 00-18 Authentic 1931 specs, including a torrified Adirondack spruce top. Its only change is an ebony strap button added to the heel. I do have a set of ebony Martin bridge and tail pins that i'll include in case you want to replace the original plastic pins. For a thorough review of the model, see the review at onemanz.com/guitar/reviews/acoustic-guitars/martin/00-18-authentic-1931/. Includes the original case, but not the strap shown in two of the photos. $4300, with me paying shipping (to contiguous 48) and PayPal fees. (Discount if you can pick it up near Asheville.) Additional photos by previous owner, Paul Leach. Thanks, Paul. Last edited by rlgph; 02-26-2022 at 07:58 AM. |

00-18 is the best
I have no idea why you would sell this guitar over the 18 GE, maybe you got a dud.
The Martin 00-18 Authentic is the best modern 00 and I’ve played them all and it is better than the 1950s Martin 00 that I owned. I’m keeping mine forever and you would be wise to do the same. |

I added a few pictures taken by the previous owner, and raised the price a bit. Last edited by rlgph; 02-26-2022 at 08:03 AM. |

I got one of these last year in fantastic condition but it cost me over $5100 all said and done. The Mahogany on yours is even nicer. Someone wise will come along I think generally these can take a little to sell just because of the limited number of people on a daily basis buying guitars in this price range nontheless 12 fret slotheads with 1 7/8” nuts.
Great opportunity for anybody to try it out. Can easily get your money back or more depending on your local market. |

Hi there - your guitar looks great. Can I call you to discuss buying it? Best regards Gary.
