Default Icarus Duolian Resonator

I bought an antique brass version, with tricone sound holes. It's a beautiful guitar. Looks amazing, sounds great and is wonderful to play. The guitar was made in China, by Aiersi, with the Icarus brand name. The guitars are checked and set up in the UK.

Here's a link to Roger Hubbard playing the model

Look like the Republic. Doesn’t seem to be a presence on the web, but you got my vote. I know how expensive National is. (Yeah, yeah...worth it..yadayada ).

Republic also get their guitars from Aiersi, so the Icarus and Republic guitars will be very similar. Aiersi make the guitars for several companies - Baton Rouge also.

Republic used to sell guitars in the UK, but seem to have stopped, since Frank snr died.

Icarus don't have a website, but have a Facebook page, and a YT page, and sell on eBay.

They have 2 well known UK guitarists playing their guitars on the YT page and have had good reviews.

After a month or so, I still like the guitar very much and would recommend it.

This YT video finally convinced me to buy.

Good film on those. Years ago I had some no-name overseas reso I got on the cheap. It was severely lacking as I came to discover. These don’t seem to be part of that family .
