Default Chord accompaniment to classical guitar

Can you back up a classical guitar tune with chordal accompaniment? Could you arpeggio the chords? How would you figure out the chords to a classical tune?

Sure, people have done many pop or jazz arrangements of classical tunes.

You'd figure out the harmony the same way you would on anything, really, I suppose...Listen for the bass note, figure out chord quality (maj/min/dominant/dim/aug etc.) and whatever color you want to throw in...

There's some pieces this will work great for...others maybe not so much. From the jazz end of things...

or pop/rock
