Generally wash my hands before play and wipe strings/fretboard and neck off with cotton cloth after every play. I find for me this makes strings last longer and neck smoother. If I notice stuff on the guitar body will use water-damped cotton cloth on that area.

The guitar I use for practice - the new world player in my signature - doesn’t always get my pre plY hand washing and gets wiped down less as I often do quick 15 minute sessions on the fly with that one.

After a gig, yes, 50% of the time. At home, no. My hands are clean.

Another hand washer before playing but I still wipe down necks fairly often, bodies once or twice a year but have never wiped strings.

Wipe my strings after every extended play (over 10 minutes, yes sometimes I just pick it up and strike a few chords or punch out a quick song).

Wipe down my guitars when the glossy finish starts to look too smudgy.

Do a deep clean (i.e. use a cleaner then a polish) when it needs it. I don't use all my guitars equally so some need a deep clean every 4 months, others maybe yearly.

Default After I play

I walk my guitar around the paddock a few times to cool off, hose down the neck with cold water, maybe some liniment on the strings. Fresh straw of course. Pretty basic stuff, same everybody else has posted.

I'm another who wipes strings, back of the neck, and where my right arm rests on the upper part of the lower bout. I do this for all of my guitars, every time. Takes all of twenty seconds.

It's probably not necessary on guitars with poly finishes, which I have a couple of. But, for nitro, varnish, or french polish, I think it makes a big difference in the long run.

Nope, I will likely play 3 or 4 of them when I play and see no reason to wipe them after

When playing at home usually not. I normally play about 30 to 45 minutes. I will if I think felt something on it.

After 3 hours at a jam every time.
