Hi Bud!

Awesome! The Guild F512 is wonderful 12-string! And I love that sunburst finish! Good for you!

Beauty!!! Have fun with that beauty...

A little bigger than my Mark Angus F-412 (1983), but the same basic shape. My F-412 was built pretty much straight from a template of a Guild F-40...

A great 12 string is a WONDERFUL THING!!!

Until Guild decides to reissue the F-612, the standard by which all other 12-strings are ultimately judged...

Use it well and often...

An F612 would be cool but I doubt they would sell many. 12 strings are challenging enough without the 26" scale.

Welcome to the world of 12-string. Congrats on getting the gold standard. It's a beauty. If you name your guitars, do you have a name for it yet?

IME less so than you might think - although they're very unforgiving when it comes to setup. In spite of their rarity I've had the pleasure of playing three examples (all admittedly in younger days) - including the ex-Tom Chapin guitar that found its way into the Stan Jay collection - and while the first one was a real bear to handle the others were not only no more difficult than my Westerly JF30-12, but the Chapin 612 was exceptional in this respect. There's also the matter of tone: I've probably played a couple dozen F-512's from Westerly/Corona/Tacoma - not to mention a killer Brazilian F-312 owned by a former bandmate - and if you've never played one the F-612 was/is/always will be in a class by itself, IMO the Holy Grail for any hardcore 12-string player; they didn't sell many back in the early-70's and as you state they probably won't sell many now, but as a Custom Shop offering they'll be in a position to produce it to the high standard of playability required - including a far slimmer neck than the dual-trussrod originals - and if the final street price could be kept around $6K it could easily be a lifetime guitar for a select few serious 12-stringers...

I just saw that Guild is releasing a D-512.
I have wondered for a long time why they never produced this model before.
Bet it is a fantastic guitar!

That is just gorgeous! If I ever jump into a 12 string, that will be what I'd want. Enjoy it!

Congrats on the 512 Rosewood.

I picked up a natural finish new/demo F-512 Maple from CME at a great price within the last year and I am very happy with it, but that sunburst is beautiful.
