Default OK, FINALLY PULLED THE TRIGGER NAD

Finally bought a small acoustic amp.

Loudbox Mini.

Was interested in the Artist, as it has more power and larger speakers.

But playing the Artist, I had the bass turned all the way off, and it was still too boomy.

Played the Mini. Sound was not the 15" wedge tone I had become accustomed to.

But for what it is. It'll work.

cool!

I do have an artist, I use USTs so my biggest challenge was straight in, to smooth out some of that mid quack.

so did you go with the charge version or the standard one?

This is a timely post. I actually bought a LB Mini and really like it, but I was considering an Artist as I am not sure if the Mini will cut it as a stage monitor. I guess I should try the Artist to see if I even like it.

Congratulations, I love my mini. I think you hear your playing better when you plug in with the amp facing you than you do sitting behind the guitar.

Good purchase EZ.

The first time I tried a Loudbox Mini was last year when I went to try out a used RC-20XL I ended up buying.

It was sufficient with my 310CE.

I liked it enough that I ended up buying a used Loudbox 100 a few weeks ago. I wanted to buy a mini but I needed an effects loop.

I've had the Fishman Acoustic Performer Pro, the original Loudbox 001, and now this Loudbox 100.

All have been fun to gig with but the Loudbox 100 is about perfect for what I'm doing now.

I just bought and Artist and sold my mini. It was too easy to get the Mini to start chuffing at anything about Noon on input vol and Noon/Master vol.

The Artist has sweeter treble to my ears as well.

Bought the standard model. Got for very small venue such as rec Senior Center rec room/retirement home gigs.

Still have PA for larger venues, where am concerned about volume and sound quality.

Have waited so long to get a little portable acoustic amp because these types of venues are fairly new to me.

Always had band mates to help load in, to larger venues, in the past.

Getting old sucks. Tried my best to avoid it, but it's inevitable.

You should be very pleased with your purchase for your intended purposes. I have had one for about 5 years now and really enjoy it. Nice sound, easy and useful EQ and enough volume for small venues and practice sessions. I have a lot of fun with it in my basement at a volume that doesn't irritate my wife

Played my J-200 through it today. Not crazy about the Anthem system in it.

But once I got it EQ'd it was doable.

With give a Martin a try tomorrow.

Good call EZ and with larger gigs when you're using your PA the mini can function as a monitor. Enjoy!

Did you try the SJ-200/Anthem with your PA as well?
I’m asking, because the factory installed Anthem in my SJ-200 is just excellent and the best of all my (still great sounding) Anthem equipped guitars.

Not yet, will be setting up a wedge shortly.

Picked up a Soundcraft Ui12. Learning how to get it to connect to iPad.

Told the guy at Sweetwater, explain it to me like you are explaining it to your Grandpa.

Wait, was that Sweetwater? Or was it my Grandson.

Once it's up and running will put all my acoustics through it.
