Default Fun open string G chords higher up the neck

Having fun with these. You might like these if you like the sound of doubled notes and open strings and a slightly different sound.

C: 8 7 6 0 8 0: A little challenging, but I can do it, and I have smaller than average hands and a larger than average neck.

Dadd9: 10 9 0 7 10 0

Bb: 6 5 0 3 6 6. This is a little hard. You have to bar B and E with your pinky to get the whole chord. There are a few other ways to get a great sounding Bb with the open D string.

Eb: 11 10 8 0 11 11. This one also has the B and E barred with the pinky. One of maybe three ways to get a nice sounding Eb with the open G.

What's the point? I can make up rather impractical, not very good sounding, chords all day, that no one would actually want to play.
Come up with playing some actual music.

Whoa!! That's not very polite, IMO.
1) I think the chords sound great.
2) It is very practical for me to be able to keep a G shape and keep some of the center strings resonating while sliding up the neck to another G shaped chord just changing a few fingers.
3) I'm making music with these chords that I find very enchanting.
4) I find that with practice, these chords are not impractical, but pretty easy.

Good luck!

That's fine but don't be surprised that general interest may be low.

BTW: C: 8 7 5 0 8 0

Yes. You're right. I was hesitant to post this because it might be regarded as abstruse. I will post an audio clip soon to show how I put this together.

The open D shape at the 7th fret can be a fun and useful G/D.
