As for 12 fret guitars, I love em'... so comfortable, well balanced, great tone. (IMHO)

Enjoy!
I am very happy with it. The 12-Fret Taylor’s are special.

Those are crazy nice, I almost got one instead of the 812.

Congrats. Hard to go wrong with a Taylor 12 fret - beautifully made and extremely versatile. Indeed, the 812ce is probably the only model which could supplant my 712e 12-fret.

Congratulations On Acquiring Your Beautiful Taylor! Please keep the pickguard as it doesn't show wear and will keep your top in tip-top shape.

Oh, very pretty guitar! Congratulations!

I have one of the original Taylor 12-Frets from, I think, 2010. Very nice guitar, very comfortable to play. And very nice sound!

those rosewood pickguards are crazy expensive-just so you know. had a person buy a new 712 12 fret, wanted it removed, brought it to me, removed it, then they wanted one back on-my memory could be wrong but it was around $50 from Taylor.

Its very hard to remove them without doing damage so they can't be reused-the wood is very thin and tends to split as you are taking it off(naptha and dental floss).

I think it looks good with or without(I'm a without kinda guy)

post us a picture if you take it off

Those are some of the greatest looking instruments out there. I'm afraid to try one because I think that would push me waaaay over the edge.
I vote to keep the pick guard - I think look nicer than any other.
Congrats!!

Congrat's! Beautiful guitar. I had a GC8 a number of years ago that was just wonderful, but alas, I couldn't deal with the slot-head. My loss. It was a wonderful guitar. Though I have made up for it now with my 512e.

I removed it. Very easy to do, but it is a remarkably thin piece of wood. It was better with it on. Not terribly expensive but if anyone decides to do the same know a replacement costs 50 dollars from Taylor. They are expensive to make so thinly. New one is on the way to the homestead.

On the upside remarkable guitar, and Taylor is sending me a standout replacement with marbled finish.
