I’ve had my eye out for another mid 90’s Taylor for quite a while and finally found one in great shape.

It’s a 1995 412 in excellent condition.

A couple of very minor dings in the back of the neck, probably from being leaned against a counter or something similar.

The top is almost perfect with just a bit of light buckle rash on the back.

It came with the brown “Pink Poodle” case, also in great condition, although the handle has been replaced, very nice job on it though.

The finish is a very thin matte finish, I’ve contacted Taylor to see exactly what it is. It doesn’t look like catalyzed poly to me, so we’ll see what they say.

Again, pleased as I can be to have another Golden Age Taylor.

Congrats! You’ll have to take some pictures, I think quite a few around here will want to see it.

I was planning to but it appears that you now need to be a Charter Member to post pix.

Sadly I let that go a while back, long story.

The playability is great, beyond the current Taylor offering, in my less than humble opinion.

Congrats! I'd love to see it as well.
You could try uploading the photo to Flickr, Google Photos, or some other photo hosting site, then simply post the link here. Worth a try if it's allowed

I used to use a few different hosting services but they all eventually became more trouble than they were worth or started charging more than I was willing to pay for what little I used them.

I did get a reply from Taylor, nothing unexpected. Sitka over hog, still not sure what the finish is. I don’t think it’s catalyzed poly, but also not likely to be nitro or lacquer. Just curious so I know how to take care of it.

Congratulations, and nice to see some respect for older Taylors. I used to have a late 90’s 514ce and it was a fabulous guitar bought for a fabulous price.

Hope you enjoy yours for many years.
