This will be gone in 60 seconds. Gorgeous guitar, ridiculous price, plus Jeff is a real good guy to deal with.

That is stunning...and I'm in KC (palm slap to the forehead). I'm looking for a 00 or 000 right now....but unfortunately this neck is not for me. I expect that you will sell this one quickly and good luck!

I have the same guitar. Beautiful, comfortable, easy to play, and it sounds just how I like a smaller mahogany guitar to sound. Plenty of volume too. I flatpick fiddle tune on it with a group of mandos and guitars most weeks and it's just great. Looked for one of these for a couple of years before finding one someone was willing to part with. While looking, I tripped over a really nice om28v. Bought it to try out the neck shape which is the same as that on the 0018vs. I was worried it would aggravate the arthritis in my thumb. I was able to adapt to the point that I find it comfortable and easy to play. The soft V is different than my non Martin's which are all variations on the C shape. I switch Mack and forth between guitars without a problem. Could be I don't play fast enough (yet?) for any of my guitars to 'slow me down'. I love my little group of guitars, but have to say that most days the 0018vs is first out of the case. Can't imagine parting with mine. This guitar should make someone very happy.

Forgive me if I should know this, but what does UMGF mean or stand for? I’ve seen it once before and couldn’t easily find a reference.
This guitar is lovely. I’ve never had a chance to handle a modV neck and am unsure if it would work for my hands. The local shop has no guitars with this type of neck and so it will take significant travel for me to sample one. Good luck with the sale.

To further what Jeff was saying, specific members of the Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum got together and spec'd out what they believed the dream Martin guitar to be. The result is this 00-18VS - also offered in ambertone finish. I have had the privilege of playing this very guitar and it is very lovely in all respects. And wow, those upgraded gold Waverlies look fantastic!!

Hi Trose,
The Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum gang went together and jointly designed their ideal small body Martin several years back. They got enough orders for a large dealer to place them with Martin to get this lovely design. It did so well that one dealer still offers it as a customer option today.

I aslo was not sure about the Mod-V neck but have found it no problem for these 63 year old hands. It is a pretty "soft" V and not "thick and chunky".

Thank you for the information. It looks like a dream guitar. I’m sure it sounds like one too. I sure wish I could hold it. I can’t believe someone hasn’t already bought it.

I was a previous owner of this guitar. It's an incredible guitar. I've been waiting for it to pop back up. I wonder if it's time for this baby to come back home. Of all the guitars bought/sold/traded over the years, this is one of the few that I regret selling!
