Default River - Joni Mitchell Cover

I’ve always loved this old song, even though it’s not exactly “feel-good” or “Christmas-y”. There are a couple of James Taylor versions out there - one is from his Christmas record, and the other is from a live Joni Mitchell tribute show from several years ago. I’ve taken from both of those for this version, but it’s JT, through and through. Playing my 2004 Lowden F23. Enjoy!

Great job Catamount. I love the relaxed, easy feeling of your version of the song...not forced at all. You gave it a very organic quality.
Beautiful.

What a different spin on that tune. Great job channeling JT into a really iconic Christmas song. I listened to it twice to appreciate what you did here. Nicely done.
