Default Guitars in stock - February 2022

Sponsors (luthiers/builders/manufacturers), what guitars do you currently have in stock for sale or available from a dealer?

(Note: Sponsors only, please. I'll unstick this thread every month and start a new one to keep things fresh.)

Default 2021 Portland Guitar OM Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce

This Brazilian rosewood and Adirondack spruce guitar has rich harmonics with a broad warmth and articulate highs. Only solid woods used, there is a khaya mahogany neck with African ebony bridge, fretboard and headstock. The OM sized body is easy to hold and comfortable to play while projecting well with long sustain.

The luthier has been building guitars for 17 years out of his small shop in Portland, Oregon after a corporate career as a mechanical engineer and failure analyst. As such his approach incorporates his own patented and patent pending inventions and other innovations.

The bracing has recessed honeycomb pockets with carbon fiber reinforced spruce braces in a falcate pattern. This enhances the coloration of the tone and creates vibrations that can be felt through the back with every strum.

The wave inlay for the purfling, rosette and fretboard are purpleheart. It is a unique pattern to Portland Guitar.

Set up to have low action, the medium thick D profile neck makes a smooth playing experience. Raise the action to where you prefer in seconds. It is cantilevered against the body with the fretboard rising over the top so that the tilt of the neck can be changed by the user.

In tune all the way up the fretboard. The bridge has superior intonation to a standard compensated saddle bridge. Each string sits on a separate saddle that can be moved back and forth until the intonation is just right. No tuning pegs, the bridge is string through with the ball end inserted on the base, this makes changing strings easy.

We want the player to have the best experience possible, please contact me with any questions or to set up a playing session!

Default Rafal Turkowiak OM custom acoustic guitar #388

Rafal Turkowiak OM custom acoustic guitar #388

Promo price: 4000USD

My little home sound sample:

Turkowiak acoustic guitar get new back bracing this year – it gives even more sustain and harmonics. This guitar has very nice, bright, “direct” sound – perfect for fingerstyle. Glossy finished red cedar top and stunning massacar ebony body gives this guitar georgeous look. This custom acoustic guitar is decorated with Baltic amber and have modern shaped headstock with high-quality tuning machines.
